3 Doubles on a Scrappi Dai!!

Today was Scrappi Dais and it was a lovely day at Karen's. Her back room is fabulous... so much space!! Thanks Karen for having me in your home!

I managed to finish 2 and half LO's while there... finished of the 3rd just now. These are all pics from our weekend in Bunbury.

Laughing Wave Lookout

The Laughing Wave was a wooden brig that was wrecked in a storm in 1903. This lookout was shaped as a boat and named after it as it overlooks the Koombana Bay where the ship floundered. I love the name of the ship though... pity the waves got the last laugh!!

I have used: Bazzill, 7 Gypsies / Mustard Moon & Kaiser PP, Fancy Pants RubOn, Heidi Swapp Bling Borders, American Crafts Thickers, Twiddleybitz Alphas, Kaiser / Prima Flowers, Kaiser Rhinestones, Bella Corner Flourish.

Bunbury Sunset

This is the sunset we got to see from our hotel room. No clouds to add all that colour and texture, but the clear skies gave us this stunning orange palette!

I have used: Black Bazzill, Basic Grey PP, MMM Fabric, Twiddleybitz Vine, Chatterbox Alphas, Buzz'n'Bloom Diva Alphas, Prima/Kaiser Flowers, Kaiser Rhinestones, Heidi Swapp Bling Borders, Hambly Clear Overlay, Silver Paint, Junkitz Paints.

On the Boardwalk

On the Leschenault Inlet is this cool boardwalk amongst the mongroves... it's quiet and peaceful! I loved it!

I have used: Daisy D's and Kaiser PP, Bazzill Kraft, Making Memories Diecut Bracket, Bella Flourishes, Prima & Kaiser Flowers, Kaiser Rhinestones, Heidi Swapp Note Tag, Scenice Route Alphas, Stampin'Up Close to Cocoa Ink, Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Hero Arts Stamps, Basic Grey RubOns.

Mini Break

We went down to Bunbury {about 200km's south of Perth} for a very needed family mini-break!! Got back yesterday about lunch time... had planned on being home later in the afternoon though, but due to being kept up until 2am listening to very rowdy drunken louts cursing and yelling from a carpark across the road from the hotel... we were a tad tired so came home earlier! The air con had been switched to warm because "it's coming onto winter"... FFS, what if we were from freakin' Antartica huh!! So we had to have the windows open for some cool air. We were on the 5th floor and it sounded like these morons were on the balcony!! We asked reception to call the police and they had the tenacity to tell us that we could call them ourselves.... ummm hello!!! We're the guests here!! Needless to say... won't be staying there again. Would have got the same service in a caravan park... actually probably would have been quieter there!

Anyway... over the crappy part, now just going to focus on the fun bits! Like the awesome sunset...
... and the very relaxing and quiet {ahhhh quiet} walk through the mangroves!

We went to the Dolphin Discovery Centre... but the dolphins hadn't come into the bay while we were there, was sad about that... BUT, the entry tickets last for 6 months so we can try again on some day trips perhaps! I would soooo love to see dolphins in the wild! Kel and Dags did lots of learning though about all things Dolphin...

Anyway... scrapping with the Scrappi Dais girls today, just a quiet day with the 5 of us... so will see if I get some of these photos scrapped! Highly unlikely... will be most likely asleep!!

4 more from the CC... so 8 LO's in 2 days... I'd say I'm back in the swing of things!!  What a weekend full of challenges though, SnC can certainly pack em in!!

This one was for a progressive challenge... thinking it still needs some serious additives!!

Got some scrapping happening finally... playing at SnC Cyber Crop. I've done 4 LO's today... well one was finished at about 3am this morning... so that's still today!

CC is still going and the challenges are still flowing... think this might be all for today though!!

Well it's seems I have this Type A Personality then...

You Have A Type A- Personality

You are one of the most balanced people around

Motivated and focused, you are good at getting what you want

You rule at success, but success doesn't rule you.

When it's playtime, you really know how to kick back

Whether it's hanging out with friends or doing something you love!

You live life to the fullest - incorporating the best of both worlds

Found this on Moni's Blog... just a bit of fun, I've had to comment in green though some is soooo not me... well I think so anyway... OMG and the paragraph about being flaky... I imagine my friends are soooo nodding their heads!!

What Mistra Terrelle Means

You are confident, self assured, and capable. You are not easily intimidated. {true... }

You master any and all skills easily. You don't have to work hard for what you want.  {well most times... unless html coding comes into it... man I hate that!!}

You make your life out to be exactly how you want it. And you'll knock down anyone who gets in your way! {well not anyone..}

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.   {Hmm not sure, pretty easy going, but yeah can get revved up pretty quick}

You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.  {except scrapbooking and estimating... }

You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start. {hehehe so true}

You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong. {rofl suave and sexy... woteva}

You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know. {yeah right, I wish... how to win friends and influence people is something I've not read!!}

You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do.  {well maybe they should get out of my way then hey?}

You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life. {hmmm nah, life is life... it is what it is... now where the heck did I pick that saying up from... it's the 2nd time I've said it this week, but I do like it}

You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home.  {nope... I like home, travelled too much when I was young I think}

You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble.
{hmmm well until I met Darren yes... }

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.  {rofl... I wish, sounds like fun}

You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.  {am I, surely not?  I don't think so}

You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.  {nah... so not me... well not now anyway... grin}

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.  {Yes... yes I do, and it shits me when I don't get it!!}

You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive. {confident yes... aggressive no, well i don't think I am}

You have the classic "Type A" personality. {and that is?}

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.  {well I try to... people can be fun!}

You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. {yes, hate rocking boats, they make you seasick}

At times, you can be a little flaky {oh don't I know it} and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.  {See Chelle... I can pull it together apparently... grin... one day we'll see it}

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow. {yes... flow is good... so long as it's flowing my way}

You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily. {yes... until I've been crossed and then nope!!}

Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is. {most times yes... although I seriously doubt people wonder what my secret is}

This and that and a LO...

Really missing my scrap mojo... I've been struggling lately, everything takes so long and is so 'blagh' to me at the moment.  I look back at my work and there's certainly nothing 'award winning' in any of them, well not to me anyway.  They're balanced and neat and co-ordinated, but just missing that 'zazz', although a few that are covered in bling and flowers still appeal.  I know that's not the point and they don't have to... just being done is a success... but it makes me feel like I've lost a part of myself if you know what I mean.

This simple LO took me all friggin' weekend and last night to do... how stupid is that!!  I think it was part shock that I actually had non-goofy pics of my son to scrap... oh hang-on... I had PICS of my son full stop I think!  He's a devil trying to gets pics taken of these days.  And the other part is no flowers and no bling... I can't remember last time I did a LO that at least didn't have an iddy bit of bling hidden somewhere on it!  Did however have an absolute ball working on the grungeboard, with Staz-on, Tim Holtz and Versacolor inks... and then the DM... was good fun and I even got messy!   So even though it's not 'perfect' in my eyes... I did have a great time making it... that should be all that counts huh... grin!   And I so love these photos of Kel trying to look tough and cool on my dad's Triumph... my gorgeous boy!!

Anyway... still a tad melancholy at the moment... likely not helping the creativity.  Lots of people turn to scrapping because they are down... I scrap when I'm on an up, we're all different. But if I just keep my head down, watch a few funny movies, keep to myself it will pass and I'll be back in the land of the living.

It's mine and Dags 13th Wedding Anniversary today, we even remembered for once.  We're a bit hopeless with that, but it's never been a big hullaballoo... April is busy for us with both our birthdays one after the other as well, so generally it's a big month of 'things to do and people to see'.  Generally we do it all in one hit to save being on the go for the whole month... although for once we don't have Easter to fit in as well, that's a treat!!

My offsider at work quite yesterday, actually a bit devo'd about that as I've almost got him to being just about right on the quoting game and I've {well he as well, he's had to do the learning} put a lot of work into getting him there.  But I can't blame him, there's not a lot of room for advancement, unless you want to go into sales, since I'm pretty much part of the furniture and not going anywhere... soooo here we go again looking for another person and then spending all that time training.  Really don't want to do it, it's hard work and takes months at least... and then they go and leave... groan!!  An estimator in a print firm is proving to be an unusual commodity... should use that to my advantage, but it goes against who I am, bugger.   But I fit where I work, we understand one another and there are more things than money... I'm also pretty blessed to like my job... when I get to do it... ROFL!!!

Oh well... ca la vie as they say... well something like that!

Anyway... make sure you take care of you coz then you can take care of everyone else as well!!

Just the one...

Here's another LO for my "What makes me.. Me?" Album, it's a bit tragic, especially the photo but since it's on dislikes I'm supposed to be looking 'not impressed'.  The theme was actually for Likes/Dislikes, but since most of the album will likely be about things I do like I've chosen to just focus on the dislikes, which was great to scrap... it's not something we normally do, well for ourselves anyway.  I did struggle trying to find pet hates to put down... usually I just accept things as "it is what it is" and move on... but these things can tick me right off if I'm caught in the wrong mood!

I have used Color Core'dinations cardstock, Q&Co Felt, American Crafts Thickers, Basic Grey Grunge RubOns, Kaiser/Making Memories & Prima Flowers & Kaiser Rhinestones.

OK, not much to report... have been a bit 'over' it all atm... but you get days like that, I feel it shows in my scrapping though... especially in the time it takes for me to get things done.  So that ticks me off even more as it's 'supposed' to be my release and something that comes easy to me... I'll come good again soon.

In the meantime... take care of you!!
